If you want to know something that drives this old coach crazy, just have a listen to my ranting in the following video. Trust me, that I almost broke my keyboard typing the script a few springs back. Anyway, what I’ve tried to do down below is tell both sides of a story, and provoke some serious thinking about the hockey off-season.

Serious Thinking About the Hockey Off-season
I’m not going to say too much here — beyond the following…
Truthfully, although I do go on a tear, I try to be fair. Truly, some of the advice shared by USA Hockey is pretty good. What isn’t so good is the way wannabe gurus distort the good stuff into pretty bad advice.
With that, have a listen, and then please let me know YOUR thinking about the hockey off-season…
If my members are wondering why I’ve gone off on this topic at this time, it’s because I’m about to adjust our CoachChic.com thinking towards the coming spring and summer months.
I’ll be getting into every aspect of hockey coaching and parenting, and I’m suggesting adult rec players will also get a lot out of what I have in store.
What I feel the need to do right now is to change some minds, and convince my member friends about all that can be accomplished during the coming hockey off-season.
Again, I’d really like the opinions of others who pass through here, so I can totally understand what’s motivating those on both sides of this discussion.
PS: The series currently in progress in the Hockey Drills Only group in Facebook contains some great advice towards the coming off-season.
