Creating the Early Goal-scorer

You know, there are a lot of young players getting into the game without a strong sense of why they’re there.  Sure, they like hockey, they like playing, and they like watching it, but…    They’re not 12-years old, they’re not 15, they’re not 19, and they’re not yet able to equate “paying their dues” for some imaginary reward.

Yes, I can put myself in a youngster’s shoes.

As for that reward, I’ve said in the related video how there’s nothing like a goal to excite a youngster.  And, just imagine what a couple of goals per game will do for a little guy’s or gal’s confidence.

With that, about the only thing I can add to my video is this:  there’s no need to hurry anything — hey, slow and steady wins the race.
