Sticks Score Goals!

I think it a shame that many players work like crazy to protect their net, only to fail because they haven’t been given specific objectives in stopping enemy attackers.  I’ll cover the specifics of backchecking in another video — probably in more detail than you’ve ever seen before.  Yet, that “sticks score goals” suggestion is the best shortcut advice I can give any player.

A couple of my favorite defensive drills are shown in this video, one for slot coverage and the other for backchecking.  And I’ll show more good defensive drills as time goes along.
