Scenes from a World Floorball Tournament

Although I’ve certainly enjoyed many of the videos I’ve seen on floorball, the camera work often proved distracting, as did the audio tracks (like awful and extra loud music).

On the other hand, I think the following video shows this great game in all its beauty.  And wait until you see some of the skills demonstrated by the world’s top floorball players.  (Ya, I’d love every young hockey player to learn the skills and the playing principles nurtured in this relatively new sport.)

Sweden 6-5 Finland – Highlights (The World Games Floorball Final 2022)

I had a transplanted — Sweden to the US — floorball friend to initially point me to the kinds of videos like the following.  Number One, I’d like members to appreciate the beauty of this game, as well as the excitement generated in a tournament like this one…

By the way…  Just so members gain a sense of how this old coach views such things, I couldn’t help but make some mental notes as I watched the above game action.  I mean, all along I was thinking about some drills I’d run with floorball-ers (if I was coaching that sport).  Better yet, I suspect I’ll ultimately show members the way I’d use those drill ideas with our ice hockey players.
