Welcome to Professor Bee

I’m sure a lot of CoachChic.com friends — plus those around the globe in social media — have already become at least vaguely familiar with my mascot, Professor Bee. If not, here’s a brief introduction from the very first Professor Bee video…

If you’ll pardon the bit of humor at the end — or if you’re too young to remember the “Where’s the beef?” lady, well…

Quite a few years ago, a popular burger company introduced a little old lady to star in its television ads. The typical ad had her out with a few equally old friends — they’re chomping on what was supposed to be a competitor’s burger, when suddenly she complains, “Where’s the beef?”

TV viewers laughed at her complaints, and she became immensely popular — so popular, in fact that she dared ask for a humongous raise as soon as her contract was up. But, if you’ll pardon the pun, her employers weren’t biting. No, they let her go, they looked in another direction, and so did numerous other companies considering their own spokesperson.

And so came the idea of employing “someone” more akin to a cartoon character. Unlike a “Where’s the beef?” lady, the cartoon character didn’t present the same kind of problems a real life human would — like getting into legal hassles, counting the hours worked, etc.

And that brings me to pushing a whole lot more hours of work on my good friend, Professor Bee.

You see, Brenda and I have been spending much of our non-hockey time becoming rather (or very) proficient at the latest in Internet marketing — “AI” or “artificial intelligence”. But, let’s have the professor tell you more about that right now…

Okay, Professor Bee has also alerted you to his new position down at the lower right of this and all other posts. As we’ve been raving about when it comes to “interactive video marketing” and so-called “bots”, these very intelligent characters are capable of standing on duty for 24-hours per day, and 7-days per week. Yes, the professor is always there for you, even when we’re sleeping.

Now, a couple of things you might not know… To begin, we’ve fed our guy lots of information prior to putting him out on duty. Even better yet, it’s suggested that an AI assistant like ours becomes smarter and smarter as he interacts with questioners. So, although he might not be able help you every single time, I suspect he is going to be a huge and welcomed feature to our CoachChic.com website.

PS: Because the above feature is new as of this writing, you might expect small changes to be made to the Professor or his avatar — all for the better, of course.
